Reading reading is cool because it will help you to learn and when you grow up you can tell people stories and make your own one up and read at school to kids that a little. I am reading at 9.5 years old. I really enjoyed reading Eating Worms for Dinner. Writing The thing that i like about writing is that when you write it give you knowledge and you can also learn some new words and will tell you how to spell and stuff. I like writing a little bit. I’ve liked using story starters. It’s been fun. Here’s a link. Math Maths is my favorite subject because when you learn math you can make so many things that when you grow up you will be brany and you can tell your kids so they can learn. I like learning my timetables and using MathsWhizz. Fiafia I enjoyed fiafia because you can invite your family and friends so they can watch you perform to people and you can dance for fun. This year I was in the Cook Island group. Conclusion The things that I enjoyed this year and last year was when I had cross country. It was cool when we had Miss Lavakula birthday. We had fun with her. I also like to go on free time. But I need to make sure that all my work is finished.

Maniakalani

Today it was the Manaiakalani film festival. Our class had our morning tea first then we lined up and waited for the bus to come. We walked in and sat down on the seats, lots of my friends and people from other classes playing hand games and some were also singing. Once we got there we got off the bus and we lined up back into our lines and walked into the movies. As we went into the cinema we saw a screen that was so big. I sat on the couch with my buddies we sat at the top on the comfy seats. After that the movies came on. My favourite movie was called marines from room 22 . http://www.manaiakalani.org/

athletics

Today it was athletics and we did fun things. I was with the year five boys and Miss Garden was the teacher looking after us. The field was covered with activities for the school to use.

The best thing that I enjoyed was running. I tried my best and for that I came 3rd place. I also enjoyed high jump. I had to jump high over the pole. When I tried to jump, I got over and made it into the finals. But on the last jump I didn't make it . I felt disappointed.

Next year my goal is to try and come first in at least one event.

Why i should have my netbook

I think is because it is important to me the reason why i like my netbook is because we do lots of cool stuff on it like our reading work and all the other things. I think should not have my netbook because i haven't been listening and when i go on it i go on things that i'm not to be on and i do lots things that is wrong. So i dont know if i can take it or not.

Today we went to orienteering but this time it was around the whole school i liked it because it was more funner than the other time plus i paired up with harlem and we got a map and all kind of staff and the end we had to back to the teacher and we came 2th place it was fun.

We should stay at school from monday to thursday and friday is part of the weekends. I disagree with this because children should go to school from monday to Friday. If we don’t then we will grow up and won’t learn then we will be dumb and we won't get a good job, And if we do learn then we can get a good job. Plus school is fun because our teachers can tell us good things to do and we can do even more good things so we can get good reports school is cool. I think we should have school for five days because so when we grow up we can get a good job. School is important.

Immersion assmbly

Today our class went to Immersion assembly it was cool because miss warts and nour was going to have are pancake race miss warts put some whipped cream and maple stripe nour had the biggest plate we don't know why unto they gave us some and they had some crem on their face.my coolest bit was when the were giving pancakes out to everone.

My Holidays

In the Holidays I went to the pools and I saw Taiaha we were bombing in the pools i done a flip.After that we played some kicks with my rugby ball and we also was playing touch we got some more people to play with us cause we didn't have that much people to play with.Then we went into the kids pool it was warm.After that we went to pt beach and had a BBQ we had some burgers and hot dogs we ate some chips as well. we were full after all the things we did we went to play some rugby on the field Taiaha was winning and he got the last try after that we were going home well well we were walking we were playing kicks to each other.

Basketball

Today day our class went to basketball it was cool because we played

different games like Golden child and all sorts.but befor i can tell you that story i have to tell this story.Golden child is a game that there are two

terms and one has a basketball and the other team had no balls. the team who had the balls had to throw the balls into the hoop.

The next day we counted the game again. If they got the ball in the hoop and the person who is running has to stop because they got the ball in the hoop.I nelly made it to the end but then someone got the ball in and then i had to stop and then we played this game.It was fun.

Today in C.R.E they told us the story of Easter.

Mordecai told the truth to Haman that he was a drew he was angry when h herd it they were going to hang him he was riping his shirt and he was angry.

Trip Youth Town

On Wednesday we went to youth town in the city down town we went  it in the bus.It is a fun place where we do actives first we went to this room where we sit and listen.after that some of the kids in my class went to swimming and the non swims went to the room where there was ping pong

and pool table i was playing with my mates and i was playing ping pong after we went to the room to have morning tea i was eating with my friends on the bean bag.

Today in C.R.E. we learnt about Easter and Mordecai we herd the king was going to get assassinated and Mordecai saw these to young guards they were talking to kill the king.their was a new prime minster his name was Haman.

The debate

The last few weeks we been learning about a debate is a form of argument and the statement was pt england should not wear uniform i was in team against and the other team was team for. this means that for should wear uniform and team against should not wear uniform. I was the first speaker and the it was my freinds. while debating i felt shy and scared to say this to the class.A debate is a form of an argument and what lawyers do.

Today in C.R.E we learned about showing love to everyone even when it's hard. We learned and sang a song today too. I find it hard to love people when they lie and they a mean to you and i don't like it when they be uncool. C.R.E or Christian Religious Education.

Mrs Clarke comes into our classroom every Tuesday afternoon.we have learned lots of diffident things like songs and stories. I have learned about king ahem was the bad king.

Immersion Assembly

Our school always has a special assembly on the first day of every term. The school the teachers were dressed up in costumes and masks. They all went on the stage and they performed a play and some did some dancing. The team four teachers were acting out The three little pigs. They kissed their mum goodbye and left to build their houses. After that they went through the woods and went to go make their house they made their houses out of straw, sticks and bricks. Then a big bad wolf came along and he was hungry he huffed and he puffed and he blow the house down the houses of the first and second pig. The wolf couldn't blow down the house of the third little pig so he went down the chimney and burnt his bum. I felt so amazed about it my favourite bit was when the wolf got burnt.

Giant squid

Giant squid live in the freezing Antarctic ocean. They eat fish and shellfish. Scientists have not discovered much about the giant squid because they don't see them often. A giant squid is an invertebrate, this means they don't have bones. They have suckers with hooks on them their beak is big and strong in their mouth.

this is what i wirte.once upon a time there lived an seal and a ocar the oacr name was steak pot and the seal was called eeg they lived in antarctica where it is very very cold he seal was in the water with his friends playing tag. the oacr them and wanted to eat them but he had no one to play with so he went up to them and then the seal got scared and then the seal swim away with his friends but the oacr just wanted to play. so the killer whale swam away and he got so sad he swam and he saw so many of the seal he swam and bite their head of and bite all the tale off and then they died.

Lukis Narrative.

My narrative. once upon a time there lived an emperor penguin his name was thin and a leopard seal name was jack they lived in antarctica and it is very cold and windy .when the emperor penguin went looking for fish there was a leopard seal. Under the water and it was swimming it saw the emperor penguin the penguin was getting food . The seal saw it again and was chasing him the seal bit the penguin tale and then the penguin didn't know how to swim and then the seal came up to it but there was more of them and more fish he went up and there was 4 penguins and the leopard seal was chasing them and then they saw the seal and the penguins swim away.

My Weekend

this waht i did on the weekends. In the weekend I went to Glendowie skatepark with my parents. I also took my bmx bike and my safety gear was knee pads helmet and a elbow pads. I put them on so if I fell off I won't get injured. I got on my bmx bike and went on a ramp and I went fast. It was so cool but then I was riding too fast. I fell off my bike mum and dad were laughing. then i got on my skateboard and went down on a ramp i went in the air and done a trick but i fall off agen . it was so fun.after that i went to mission bay to go for a swim. i went on the rocks with my dad and we done a bomb .and my dad and i made a big splash. but we had a little swim because the tide was coming out then we went to burger king and ate a burger and chips and a drink.

There are many species of whales. They live in pods.  Some whales have no teeth. A male whale is called a bull and a female whale is a cow.  A baby whale is a calf. whales are a large mammals that live in the sea.

My holidays

In the Holidays I went to my aunts and we were watching movies. My uncle and I got to play on his ps3. I was playing Black Ops and I was at Nuketown. I was killing zombies my uncle died because he was outside where they were. After that we watched Real Steel. It was a fighting movie with robots from the Japanese. The robots were fighting and one of them won. Then we watched lion king and we ate chips and we drank and then we went to sleep.

Will.I.Am.

Our whole school went to the hall on Thursday. We had a very special visitor and his name was Will.i.am. When he arrived and after he was welcomed, the kapa haka and the seoni hip hop group performed. Will.I.Am gave $100,000.00 cheque for the Manaiakalani Trust. He talked about his mum and his life. He said that his mum had a job and he's never met his dad but also he grew up poor and his mum took care of his brothers and sisters. A song that I know is scream and shout and he had cool as glasses. I felt cool because hes a singer and he's famous.

Rugby League

On tuesday we done rugby league we were doing warm ups first and it was Benji says it was a game when we had to copy our coach James. we had to run around in a circle . After that we played with the blue bands and we had a rugby ball and if we too didn't catch it we will lose a point but if you catch it then you get a point it only goes up to ten. Here is a video of us at our first rugby league session.

This is my Fiafia reflection so far. Pointe England school is performing a Fiafia dance. I am in the Cook Island group and we are performing in two days. omaru creek.

Hi this is are story about omaru creek.Once upon time there was an eel named Nas. He lives with his family he has a mum and a dad and two brothers named lars and mars. He liked to play with his brothers in the river. Nas and his family ate worms and grubs. His game that he'd like to play was called, Call of Duty. It was his favorite game that he'd like to play. He always gets a headshot with his sniper 624 it was a very cool game. One day Nas noticed that people were throwing rubbish and leaking oil into the crystal clear water. He realised his home was getting polluted and other creatures were dying. His river was becoming polluted and it was called the Omaru creek.

Triathlon

On a sunny day we had Triathlon. The stuff that we had to do, was biking, running and we had to do a superman on the water slide. If we don't have our togs then we had to do star jumps. Once the boys were finished we had to quickly get on a bike and then we were riding as fast as we could around the field. As soon as I finished I quickly took off my helmet and then I ran around the field. When I got back, I sat on the grass and then Miss Lavakula took a photo of us. Here it is.

Hi my name is lukis and this is a photo my group has been working hard i hope you like it.

Easter Break

On a nice sunny day, my brother and I went to my aunty’s house with my mum and dad. We had an easter egg hunt with all of our cousins. All of us had to go and look for big and small easter eggs outside the house, hidden in different places. I found some eggs in the trees and bushes. Some were under the grass and we had to dig in the groung to find some easter eggs. They were wrapped up in tinfoil so it was ok to eat.

After that we played games and we had a disco. We danced the best and my aunty gave us a Rolo chocolate bar and prizes too. It was fun playing games too. Then we ate butter chicken pies it was yum and we had a drink too.

When it was all finished, we went to my cousin’s house in the city to sleepover.

On a lovely day year 5 and 6 went to camp. as soon as the bell rang the non-campers went home the campers had afternoon tea. I’m in True Crew we all watched M.r Poppers Penguins. I fell asleep on the bean bag then when the movie was finished then we all went to our tents and went to sleep. The next day all the year 6 and year 5 woke up we all had jump jam . We all had rice bubbles for breakfast. We were playing cool as activities like kayaking. It was heaps of fun. I fell into the water with Toma and we were floating in the water it was amazing.

Swimming Reflection

Have you ever had swimming lessons before? Every day for the past week Room 13 has been swimming. We walked to Glen Innes pools for a 30 minute swimming lesson to learn to be safe in the water. I am in group 2 my instructors name is Laura. She taught me to do streamline and float in the water. I learned to do backstroke in the water while I was swimming in the water and I also learned to do Rockt Arms I can do a backflip in the water. There are some things that I can’t do in the water like back stroke because I always crash and hit the wall and also crash into other people.
